1.7 Social Program

BECAUSE WE ARE PART OF THE COMMUNITY

We care about character education, especially with regard to students’ social sensitivity. By involving students, parents and the entire community of Kesatuan Bangsa, we do a lot of social activities kemasyarkatan. In one year there are three major programs that are held regularly and are: Ramadan package distribution, the distribution of sacrificial meat and donations to orphans. Students are involved as the main actors in these activities.

RAMADHAN CHARITY

In every Muslim holy month of Ramadan (Ramadhan), Kesatuan Bangsa School holds a set of activities, such as fast-breaking with orphanages and package distribution for less fortunate families (dhuafa).  The school also collaborates with several universities and religious schools (pesantren) and orphanages for package distribution. Break fasting with students and parents is a routine agenda in every Ramadan.

DISTRIBUTION OF MEAT OF SACRIFICE EID AL-ADHA

At the annual time of Eid al-Adha (or Eid al-Qurban), our school ritually sacrificies animals. Aside from being an expression of gratitude, this event also aims to build students’ social sensitivity to share with those less fortunate. This program involves students, parents, all school community and society in general.

DISTRIBUTION OF PACKAGES FOR ORPHANS

Every year we do fundraising and distribution of packages for orphans from our surroundings. The event involves all stakeholders, especially the students and parents as well as other donators.
